The fusion of Gyro and Accelerator opens up the world of ability to track the actions done by the body.

These actions can be used to detect the number of bites of food a subject has eaten, using that information one can track the calories intake.

RECEIVING DATA INTO MATLAB

Useing the serial Communication B/W Matlab and AVR controller board the MEMS data is received into the mathsworks environment for further processing.

GRAVITY COMPENSATION

Using I2C communication protocol with the IMU board to receive the data to the controller ROM.

FILTERING THE DATA

With work previously done by a former lab member, we have developed a powerful tool for use in the identification and characterization of the processes in our model system. A major advantage of this development is its improved sensitivity, which allows it to detect subtle dynamic property changes in response to our experimentation.
